24 Pennant Templates Included: goat, panda, dolphin, octopus, crab, koala, beaver, gorilla, elephant, Komodo dragon, snake, dog, chimpanzee, bear, giraffe, rhino, kangaroo, reindeer, lion, cat, chameleon, duck, walrus, & wolf.
This resource guides students through the process of researching one of 24 different animals. After selecting an animal to study, students learn how to properly conduct research while using the Internet/books. Next, students conduct research while following the template prompts (these include: Description, Location(s), Diet, Predators, Prey, Structural & Behavioral Adaptations, Evolution, Threats, Habitat, etc.). Then, students learn how to put their research into their own words (ie. not plagiarizing) and complete the pennant template. Finally, students decorate their pennants and present their learning.
These look fantastic on a bulletin board or simply strung up in the classroom.

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which students are challenged to actively learn about a subject for an extended period of time. It is a form of active learning or inquiry-based learning. Project-Based Learning is in contrast to paper-based, rote memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established facts.
